Felt like I was in a bit of a battle to get things sorted. The Lounge area seemed inviting, but the supposed exclusive Deck access was surprisingly not utilized while I was there, making it frustrating after hearing it was booked solid. the lack of visibility for some window coverings created an awkward moment in privacy. that’s just not my style. Thought I would find some cozy comforts in the suite, but without updated daily amenities and a rocky room atmosphere, it just didn’t deliver the experience you'd expect. Last I checked, no one is dying to deal with these little nuisances while on vacation.

The hotel dazzled with its modern design and friendly staff, though the room was on the smaller side, lacked soundproofing, and dealt with some air conditioning quirks. Still, the incredible views and location were a highlight of the stay.

incredible views from the rooftop, luxurious spa services, unique cocktail offerings at Joao's Place
The small room layouts can feel cramped, particularly with a poorly designed open-concept bathroom!!! the parking situation lacks convenience, which detracts from the experience!!!

Couple seeking comfort
Had a great experience with the location! The room was comfy, nice looking mini bar in the middle of the room, made it easy to unwind after a long day. And let me tell you, the rooftop views? Unbelievable! We were told to check it out, but security wasn’t very friendly. That was a bummer.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive but considering the room, it was still acceptable.

The rooftop views were simply breathtaking! 😍 The location was also great, right next to a mall. However, the bathroom layout lacked privacy, which was a bit awkward.

Chillin' in style!
This place was a gem! Super comfy room and the staff were awesome. I loved the welcome chocolates and those complimentary cocktails hit the spot, especially the Goddess. The location's perfect for exploring, but I wish I had more time—dining options were limited late at night. A total must-visit in Edinburgh!

Spent three nights in a wonderful king room, and the hotel surprised us with a nice welcome treat, which really made our stay special. We loved indulging in the sauna and the relaxing spa treatments, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. Just wish they had better soundproofing since we could hear some noise from the hallway, but it didn’t ruin our experience at all. 😊

a prime base for exploring edinburgh's rich history and parks
I loved how I could easily stroll to the historic Edinburgh Old Town and enjoy the nearby Scott Monument, which made my weekend exploring even more enjoyable. while the hotel had stylish rooms, it might benefit from offering more privacy in bathroom designs.
